Installation of Vermin Proofing at WTPs
Overview of Project:
Existing Vermin Proofing (shade cloth) and screens under the Whirly Birds at the water treatment plants were failing and non-compliant. In addition, fascia and cross bracing.
Scope of Works:
Design and the fabrication of new vermin proofing screens was outsourced
MM removed existing screens, integrated a fixing system to the new screens and installed new screens on site
The cross bracing has been fabricated in Metal Maintenance workshop and will be installed
The replacement of fascia has been out scoured to a suitably qualified builder
Management of the project has entailed:
- Outsourcing and monitoring of some works
- Programming works to be carried out by MM workers
- Working within the operational restrictions of the client
Conclusion/Outcome:
On time and on budget with no defects.
